Make Orb yours

Orb now looks the way you want, and the dock resizes right under your mouse.

Orb now looks the way you want, and the dock resizes right under your mouse.

Highlights

  • Pick your color. Settings has a new Theme page with six accents: Aurora Indigo (the Orb signature), Ocean Blue, Emerald, Sunset Amber, Rose, and Graphite. The selected session's glow, the New (+) button, and the working spinner all repaint instantly, and every accent adapts to Light, Dark, and Increase Contrast.
  • Resize where you look. The bar between your sessions and the terminal is now a real divider: hover it, grab it, drag it. The two width settings are gone because you don't need them anymore. The dock's left edge still resizes the whole panel.
  • The menu bar finally shows Orb. The status icon is now the meniscus mark you know from the app icon, drawn as a proper template so it matches the menu bar in any appearance.
  • Right-click does more. A session's context menu now includes Session Settings, and both Rename and Session Settings on a background session first bring it forward, exactly like clicking it.

Fixes

  • A development or test build of Orb can no longer remove the containers of your installed app at launch. The cleanup now runs only in the released app and only when it knows which containers to keep.
  • Clicking a notification now reveals the right session even when it lives on another Space.
  • Shortcuts that would hijack normal typing (like Shift plus a letter) can no longer be recorded, and an older shortcut of that kind falls back to the default with a clear notice in Settings.
  • Setting the text selection shortcut to the same keys as the dock toggle used to silently do nothing; Settings now warns about the conflict.
  • Closing the session you are looking at now starts the next one immediately instead of leaving an empty terminal under its title.
  • The dock no longer opens wider than a small screen after you made the terminal huge on a big one, and resizing on the small screen no longer shrinks your big-screen layout.
  • Stop all in Everything Running now waits for every stop to finish, so stopped sessions no longer bounce back to Running for a moment.
